The University of Guadalajara has been a promoter of initiatives to enrich the accompaniment of students, increasing the quality of teaching, academic excellence and productivity in meeting its objectives. In the last 30 years, emphasis on the professors' training has increased as they can support and guide students from a perspective beyond the indispensable didactic-pedagogical one. Such is the figure of the tutor in the context of the Institutional Tutoring Program, which is characterized by substantial differences among the various university centers, but also by continuous improvement and internal transformation. This paper aims at assessing the Tutoring Integral System (SIT, Spanish acronym) at Los Lagos University Center, as well as defining the limitations persisting within the tutorial work modality in the center, and proposing actions contributing to improve the SITs.
