High school teachers’ continuous professional training constitutes a significant aspect to face and interact successfully with every student’s individual differences; in particular, when it is related to students with visual deficiencies. In the Angolan context, high school teachers’ professional training has a particular significance taking into account that teachers receive a preparation on theoretical aspects in their undergraduate studies, and they have a lack of practice; that is, that they do not have the necessary tools for their performance as teachers with these kinds of students. Indeed, these students deserve to be prepared for their adult and independent life as active agents in the society where they all live, and this theme related to inclusive education is reflected on the policy of this country. That is why, in the research that leads to the present article, the actual state of teachers preparation is diagnosed, which brings as a result the identification of some deficiencies in this particular matter. Some scientific methods and techniques were applied for allowing the identification of the potentialities and weaknesses teachers have. The objective is to expose the main theoretical foundations about the professional training process in high school teachers of the Angolan Republic for the attention of students with visual deficiencies.
