El presente artículo incluye fundamentos teóricos esenciales para concebir el proceso de orientación familiar, desde la institución escolar, en función de la atención educativa del menor con deficiencia visual en Angola. Constituyen referentes esenciales las aportaciones de autores nacionales e internacionales reconocidos en la temática, publicadas en el período de 2010–2015. Se asume una perspectiva optimista del desarrollo humano, que pondera las posibilidades de educación y desarrollo de estas personas y el carácter determinante de los factores sociales. Las autoras incluyen los conocimientos, las habilidades y actitudes que pueden poner a los padres en condiciones de la atención educativa del deficiente visual. También se jerarquiza lo relacionado con la comunicación, orientación, movilidad, estimulación multisensorial, el aprovechamiento al máximo de los restos visuales, en el caso de debilidad visual, y el empleo de herramientas específicas para la autonomía y el aprendizaje. Asimismo el artículo contiene las exigencias para concebir el proceso, entre las que se distinguen, el aprovechamiento de las posibilidades que brindan las organizaciones, instituciones y asociaciones para personas con deficiencias que existen en Angola y que, conjuntamente con la institución escolar, pueden jugar un rol importante a favor de estimular las amplias posibilidades de estos menores.
This paper deals with the essential theoretical foundations to conceive the family counseling from the school with the purpose of giving educative attention to children with visual deficiencies in Angola. The contributions of national and international researchers on the subject are essential referents, which were published in the period 2010-2015. An optimistic perspective of the human development is adopted, which balances the possibility and development of these people and the determinant character of social factors. The authors of this paper include the knowledge, abilities and attitudes which should be emphasized to give to the parents what they need to put into practice the educative attention to their children with visual deficiencies. Besides, the communication, orientation, mobility, multisensory stimulation, the maximum use of their visual rests, in the case of visual fragility and the use of specific tools for the independence and learning, are hierarchized. The article also describes the requirements of the process, among them the possibilities of the organizations, institutions and association for people with handicaps that are in Angola, which, together with schools, could have an import role with the intention of stimulating the abundant possibilities of these children and to develop in a maximum level their social relations.
