Abstract
Introduction: The development of auditory attention has a great impact on the emission and understanding of language, which if there are difficulties would produce a poor level of comprehension. Objective: Propose recreational activities that contribute to the development of auditory attention in the stimulation of oral language in preschool students. Materials and methods: Results and discussion: different methods were applied, including logical history, analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction, system approach, scientific observation, analysis of the products of the activity, experimental method (pedagogical pre-experiment) and descriptive statistics. The proposed recreational activities were characterized by: the recreational approach; the practical nature and the protagonism of the students; the relationship with the initial diagnosis; be divided into basic stages (sound detection, sound identification and phonic analysis). Conclusions: The data resulting from the pre-experiment allowed us to corroborate the effectiveness of the proposal. The main transformations in the development of students' auditory attention focused on improving the detection and identification of sounds, the maintenance of auditory attention; phonic analysis; understanding of foreign language and interest in speech therapy work.
