Abstract
Talent is multifaceted, encompassing both innate and acquired abilities. Recognizing and nurturing it in its various forms is essential for personal and social development, as well as for cultural and scientific progress in any society. Today, the main cause of the underutilization and underdevelopment of academically talented students is no longer their identification but rather the lack of academic challenges. Many feel demotivated if the curriculum does not provide them with adequate challenges. The absence of advanced materials or opportunities to delve deeper into their areas of interest can lead to apathy and poor performance. A developmental environment is built day by day, shaped by strategies that foster an inclusive and challenging educational atmosphere, as well as by providing the necessary emotional and academic support for gifted students to fully develop their skills and potential. Recognizing and cultivating their potential is an indispensable task, as it lays the foundation for a more innovative, equitable, and prosperous future. This study is highly significant because it contributes to stimulating the potential of tenth-grade students with academic talent in Biology through teaching tasks that can be applied in all schools offering this level of education. During the research, various theoretical, empirical, and mathematical/statistical methods were employed. For the diagnostic phase, tenth-grade students from EMCC Sancti Spíritus, belonging to Platoon Two, were involved. The proposal aligns with the current requirements of Cuban education, which is aimed at fostering the fundamental values of today’s Cuban society.
