Abstract
The present research entitled “Software tasks to develop computer skills with Scratch in 7th grade students” had the objective of applying software tasks that facilitate the development of the computer skill of constructing figures in 7th grade students of the Carlos Echenagusía Peña Educational Institution. For this purpose, eight software tasks with Scratch were elaborated and applied, focused on the use of the Pencil block, from an interdisciplinary approach. The investigation combined theoretical (historical-logical, analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive), empirical (observation, surveys, pedagogical tests) and mathematical-statistical (descriptive statistics) methods. The initial diagnosis revealed deficiencies in the use of the Pencil block, low motivation, low creativity, limited collaboration and poor understanding of instructions. Based on these results, software tasks were developed that significantly improved the indicators. The final diagnosis showed a notable increase in motivation, participation, creativity, problem-solving and collaboration. As a deficiency, the need for more active pedagogical strategies was pointed out; as an improvement, the use of structured software tasks favored active and collaborative learning. The research concludes that the application of these software tasks is effective and recommends their generalization.
