Abstract

Introduction: The family must not only acquire knowledge and develop certain skills or competencies that allow it to more accurately exercise its educational function, but also for this to take place by becoming increasingly involved in a responsible and conscious manner in the conduct of the development and education of its children. . Objective: apply educational activities with the help of multimedia for the preparation of families in the prevention of language delay in preschool students. Materials and methods: as a general method the materialist dialectic and as methods of educational research, methods of the theoretical level were applied (historical-logical, synthetic analytical inductive-deductive), empirical methods (scientific observation, interview, pedagogical pre-experiment), as a method Statistically, descriptive statistics and percentage calculation were used. Four families of students from the Arcelio Modesto Suarez Bernal school made up the sample. It was found that they do not have access to information or tools that help them understand the importance of language stimulation in the development of their children. Results and discussion: The application of the instruments for diagnosis confirmed that families have poor knowledge about the language delay disorder, they do not have the necessary tools to contribute to its correction, they do not know its symptoms and some causes of them, they recognize their little attendance at family preparation school and they do not carry out any activities at home because they are not prepared for it. These activities have an intellectual component that encourages raising knowledge so that they are protagonists of them, offering experiences, criteria and points of view of their actions in the face of the individual particularities that their children present in the development of language. They have a corrective, developmental, personalized, collaborative, participatory and positive approach. The activities have multimedia as a support tool.
