Introducción: El artículo aborda el fenómeno migratorio de hispanohablantes a Brasil y se centra en la intercomunicación como elemento clave en la adaptación lingüística. Se destaca la relevancia del idioma en la elección de destino migratorio, especialmente en el contexto del éxodo venezolano.
Objetivo: Realizar una aproximación al conocimiento de las destrezas lingüísticas en contextos intercomunicativos para inmigrantes venezolanos en Brasil.
Métodos: Se emplean enfoques cuantitativos y cualitativos, se destaca la influencia de la cortesía en el discurso. Se utiliza un diseño descriptivo correlacional. Se aplican pruebas cuantitativas para medir destrezas lingüísticas y entrevistas no estructuradas para el análisis cualitativo del discurso.
Resultados: El análisis cuantitativo revela que los participantes tienden a expresarse en portugués, con uso ocasional de español. Se evidencia una comprensión parcial del portugués oral. Las competencias lectoras y escritas presentan debilidades, posiblemente relacionadas con la falta de motivación percibida.
Conclusiones: Los hallazgos subrayan la importancia de la cultura y actitud positiva de los brasileños, la superación de barreras lingüísticas mediante la actitud, y la relevancia de la teoría de la cortesía en la comunicación efectiva. Se destaca el valor de la empatía, el respeto mutuo y la adaptación lingüística en la intercomunicación exitosa.
Introduction: This paper addresses the phenomenon of Spanish-speakers migration to Brazil and focuses on intercommunication as a key element in linguistic adaptation. The relevance of language in the choice of migratory destination is highlighted, especially in the context of the Venezuelan exodus.
Objective: To approach the knowledge of language skills in intercommunicative contexts for Venezuelan immigrants in Brazil.
Methods: Quantitative and qualitative methods are used, highlighting the influence of politeness in discourse. A descriptive correlational design is used. Quantitative tests are applied to measure linguistic skills and unstructured interviews for qualitative discourse analysis.
Results: The quantitative analysis reveals that participants tend to express themselves in Portuguese with occasional use of Spanish. Partial comprehension of oral Portuguese is evident. Weaknesses in reading and writing skills are observed, possibly related to perceived lack of motivation.
Conclusion: The findings underline the importance of the positive culture and attitude of Brazilians, the overcoming of language barriers through attitude, and the relevance of politeness theory in effective communication. The value of empathy, mutual respect and linguistic adaptation in successful intercommunication is highlighted.
