El siguiente artículo se centra en analizar una estrategia de aprendizaje que cobra gran protagonismo dentro de las distintas teorías que hoy se conocen, donde el análisis se discute y presenta una problemática en cuanto a la valoración de este tipo de aprendizaje y su aplicabilidad en la enseñanza superior. La experiencia docente y las exigencias que trae consigo el mundo moderno al sistema educativo, son los principales argumentos que avalan este tipo de aprendizaje. Sin embargo, la falta de instrumentos apropiados de evaluación y la dificultad de generar una estrategia común a todo un grupo de docentes son las principales críticas a esta estrategia. La discusión no está aún zanjada y el paradigma del “Aprender a aprender” es cada vez mayor. Lo que sí puede afirmarse con cierta seguridad es que existen circunstancias en las cuales este método de aprendizaje ofrece mejores resultados que los otros métodos conocidos. Es en este contexto en que el lograr identificar claramente las circunstancias que favorecen esta estrategia, resulta ser lo más importante de este análisis.
The following article is focused on analyzing a learning strategy that has an important role within the various theories that today are known, where the analysis is discussed and a problem is presented in terms of the assessment of this type of learning and its applicability in higher education. Teaching experience and the demands that the modern world brings to the educational system, are the main arguments that support this kind of learning. However, the lack of appropriate assessment tools and the difficulty of generating a common strategy to a whole group of teachers are the main criticisms of this strategy. The discussion is not yet settled and the paradigm of "Learning to learn" is growing. What it can be stated, for sure, is that there are circumstances in which this learning method offers better results than other known methods. It is in this context that achieving clearly to identify the circumstances that favor this strategy, turns out to be the most important of this analysis.
