Abstract
Introduction: The quality management of undergraduate university programs requires updated and accurate information that expresses the standards corresponding to the variables and indicators established in the evaluation and accreditation subsystem. Objective: To expose the stages of the design of information flowcharts for quality management of undergraduate programs, with the intention of revealing the dynamic interaction of the components of the process and being able to acquire quality benefits from continuous improvement. Methods: The study was developed under a quantitative methodological approach. Expert judgment was used for the prospective evaluation of the validity and relevance of the information flowcharts. Techniques such as interviews and document analysis were also used. Results: The proposed flowcharts guarantee the systemic nature for making timely decisions in favor of quality management and favor the evaluation of undergraduate programs for accreditation purposes for higher categories. Conclusions: The effectiveness of the flowcharts proposed for clear and concrete communication and dissemination of reliable and timely information among the actors involved is recognized, in a way that the understanding and identification of opportunities for the improvement of undergraduate programs is enabled.
