Abstract
Movement improvement is of great importance in modern sport. Its purpose is to optimize technique and achieve the best results. Various sciences converge in its achievement, but undoubtedly one of the most important is biomechanics. Deficiencies detected in Sancti Spiritus taekwondo motivated the author of this thesis to study the execution of the dollyo chagui in order to determine the technical deficiencies exhibited by the junior taekwondo practitioners of the Lino Salabarría Pupo EIDE, considering that it is a basic attack action to the head. To this end, videography and Kinovea motion analysis software (version 8.27) were used. For this study, five athletes from this area and category were selected. The novelty of the research lies in the phasic division of movement and the determination of biokinematic characteristics (deficiencies) that impede the correct execution of each of them. The main deficiencies were related to a poor rotation of the supporting foot in the knee lift phase, which caused insufficient hip rotation, loss of power during the kick, and a slow recovery to the defensive position.
