Abstract
This paper aims to achieve an approach to the topic of social integration; from the reflections of different sociology theorists, related to the supposed definitions. analyzing these authors' speech allows to comprehend that, although the term is not officially declared, they use a series of aids which could be restrictive or liberating to achieve the goals, that is why, socialization, culture, institutions, economic formations, etc. dominate the individual in the imposition of norms, values, behaviour, social interpretation, leverage, and so the search of social integration. The methodological mooring was directed to the seeking of the factual elements enclosed in the knowledge and criteria of the speech representative. Qualitative methodological suppositions were combined considering as techniques the analysis of documents and contents. The paper closes with the appropriateness of understanding how the stated elements contribute to the social order achievement, to keep a united and ordered society, which years later would be defined as social integration by other authors precisely from its three fundamental dimensions; participation: real presence in the decision taken process; social justice: based on the equality of opportunities; and national cohesion: to share a values system, because a society would only be integrated in the extent that its members share a values system having opportunities to do so.
