Abstract
Llevar nuevamente el béisbol a los planos estelares con un alto desarrollo y la
calidad de sus atletas es hoy uno de los retos más importantes que tienen las
autoridades deportivas del país y en especial las que están relacionadas
directamente con este deporte. Este reto significa retomar todas las acciones y
estrategias en la búsqueda de atletas de alto rendimiento, para lo cual es necesario
un trabajo desde la base orientado a la selección de talentos. Precisamente en esta
línea se inscribe el presente estudio que aborda el trabajo en la selección de talentos
en el combinado deportivo de la comunidad de Meneses a partir de la aplicación de
las pruebas que estaban establecidas por la dirección nacional. Para este propósito
se aplicaron métodos e instrumentos de investigación de los niveles teórico,
empírico y matemático-estadístico. Los resultados obtenidos permitieron reafirmar
la necesidad de continuar con la aplicación de estas pruebas para alcanzar el
propósito de mayor calidad en este deporte.
Bringing baseball back to the stars with a high level of development and the quality of its athletes is today one of the most important challenges faced by the country's sports authorities, especially those directly related to this sport. This challenge means resuming all the actions and strategies in the search for high performance athletes, for which a work from the base oriented to the selection of talents is necessary. Precisely in this line is inscribed the present study that addresses the work in the selection of talents in the sports team of the Meneses community from the application of the tests that were established by the national direction. For this purpose, research methods and instruments were applied at the theoretical, empirical and mathematical-statistical levels. The results obtained allowed us to reaffirm the need to continue with the application of these tests to achieve the purpose of higher quality in this sport.
