Abstract

Cals of calm constitutes a small elevation that is located 2.5 km northeast of the city of Sancti Spíritus, province of the same name, in the center of Cuba. It is a protected area; However, aspects of the dynamics of its bat assets are unknown. Several trips were made that covered the periods of dry and rain. In total, 10 sampling sessions of bats were executed. The animals were captured with the use of a 9 m long fog network by 3 high, placed at the ground level, located in the forest at 15 m from the entrance of the caves (Silva, 1979). The networks remained from 6:00 pm to 12 pm. Relative abundance was estimated by the number of individuals captured during the time the networks were open. (Individuals /hours- network). In the taxonomic identification the following works were used: Silva (1979) and Baker, Groen and Owen (1984) over the course of these samples, a total of 329 individuals of bats were collected, belonging to about 11 species, 10 genera and three families of the Chiroptera order. When comparative analyzes are made, different behaviors were verified from assemblies, demonstrating that they are shown as different chiropterocenesis. Finally, all the collected chiroptera were released.
