Abstract
Introduction: The prevention of stuttering at an early age focuses particularly on the training of families, this being the first form of social education, with which the child interacts from the moment of birth. It constitutes a stable sphere of influence, which acts directly on him, in important periods of the development of the personality in formation. Consequently, it must be oriented to achieve adequate language development in its children. Objective: Apply activities for family orientation for the prevention of stuttering in the Educate your Child Program. Materials and Methods: Different educational research methods were used at the theoretical, historical-logical, inductive-deductive and synthetic analytical levels. From the empirical level, the survey and observation as well as the pre-experiment and the mathematical-statistical, the descriptive statistics and the percentage calculation. Results and Discussion: With the application of the instruments, insufficiencies were found in the preparation of the family for the prevention of stuttering in terms of lack of knowledge of what it is and how it is anticipated, they expressed interest and the need to be oriented on the subject. Conclusions: The application of activities in practice will favor the guidance of the family to have a better knowledge of how to prevent stuttering at an early age.
