Acciones para potenciar el conocimiento sobre el turismo sostenible en la Sucursal Extrahotelera Palmares Trinidad

Abstract

Las directrices para el desarrollo sostenible del turismo y las prácticas de gestión sostenible se aplican a todas las formas de turismo en todos los tipos de destinos. Los principios de sostenibilidad se refieren a los aspectos medioambiental, económico y sociocultural del desarrollo turístico, por lo tanto, es necesario, establecer un equilibrio adecuado entre esas tres dimensiones para garantizar la sostenibilidad a largo plazo. El conocimiento sobre turismo sostenible en cualquier lugar o suceso contribuye a comprender los impactos que se generan en el medio natural a favor de la conservación de la biodiversidad y los ecosistemas, además ayuda a la reducción de la huella de carbono y otros impactos ambientales negativos y a emprender prácticas sostenibles por parte de los turistas y las empresas turísticas. Constituye objetivo de esta investigación la propuesta de acciones que permitan conocer el impacto del turismo sostenible en los trabajadores de La Sucursal Extra Hotelera Palmares de la ciudad de Trinidad. Los resultados de esta investigación responden a la modalidad investigación con acción participativa que permiten acercarse a la solución del problema planteado y se apoyó para su desarrollo en métodos científicos con enfoque materialista dialéctico. Finalmente se exponen las conclusiones y se recomienda hacer extensivo el trabajo a otras instalaciones del sector turístico en Cuba.

The guidelines for sustainable tourism development and sustainable management practices apply to all forms of tourism in all types of destinations. The principles of sustainability refer to the environmental, economic and sociocultural aspects of tourism development, therefore, it is necessary to establish an appropriate balance between these three dimensions to guarantee long-term sustainability. Knowledge about sustainable tourism in any place or event contributes to understanding the impacts generated in the natural environment in favor of the conservation of biodiversity and ecosystems, and also helps to reduce the carbon footprint and other negative environmental impacts and to undertake sustainable practices by tourists and tourism companies. The objective of this research is the proposal of actions that allow us to know the impact of sustainable tourism on the workers of La Sucursal Extra Hotelera Palmares in the city of Trinidad. The results of this research respond to the participatory action research modality that allows us to approach the solution of the problem posed and was supported for its development by scientific methods with a dialectical materialist approach. Finally, the conclusions are presented and it is recommended that the work be extended to other facilities in the tourism sector in Cuba.
