Abstract

The objective of this research is to develop an expert system for early classification of severe dengue in this hospital. The following methods were used: systemic, historical – logical, deductive – inductive and analytical – synthetic, as well as programming languages such as Prolog and Borland Delphi. Besides, the methodology proposed by the Doctor Mateo Lezcano in his book Prolog and Expert Systems was used. The main result of this research is SEC-Dengue, an application that helps doctors to classify early patients with a possible dengue critical case, a possible case of alarm or a possible case of alert.
