La cadena de incumplimiento de las normativas de cobros y pagos implica las indisciplinas en los cumplimientos de las obligaciones de las empresas, es un fenómeno que no solo abarca a entidades con débil rentabilidad sino que también afecta a aquellos que en sus estados financieros presentan altas ganancias, situación que tiene como denominador común la no correcta administración del dinero. La investigación se lleva a cabo en la Unidad Empresarial de Base Alimentaria Fomento teniendo como objetivo general, evaluar la gestión de cobros y pagos en la empresa objeto de análisis. Se identificaron los factores que inciden mayormente en la cadena de impagos de la misma, así mismo los consumidores y proveedores motivo de los cuales existen saldos envejecidos en estas cuentas. En el desarrollo de la investigación se tomaron como base los datos reales que ofrecen los libros, registros y Estados Financieros de la Contabilidad correspondiente al cierre del año 2022 y 2023.
