La universidad es el marco idóneo para coordinar una labor educativa eficaz en la prevención del SIDA, de ahí la responsabilidad de docentes a la hora de elaborar programas que posibiliten el tratamiento del tema de forma amena, libre de estereotipos sexistas, mitos, estigmas y tabúes.
En el presente artículo se brindan etapas para la elaboración de un programa preventivo en VIH y el SIDA, lo cual le posibilitará al docente contribuir al desarrollo de la estrategia curricular contextualizada para la educación sexual en los estudiantes de modo que posibilite estilos de vida saludables que por ende eleven la calidad de vida, como una de las acciones del proyecto “El enfoque cultural en la lucha contra las Infecciones de Transmisión Sexual y el VIH- SIDA en la formación de profesores”, auspiciado por la UNESCO, y el cual dirige la Facultad de Pedagogía de la Universidad José Martí Pérez de Sancti Spíritus.
University is the ideal framework to coordinate an effective educational work in the prevention of AIDS, hence the responsibility of teachers to develop programs that enable treatment of the subject so enjoyable, free of sexist stereotypes, myths, stigmas and taboos.
This article offers stages for the elaboration of an HIV-AIDS preventive program, which makes possible the teachers’ contribution to the development of a contextualized curriculum strategy. This strategy is addressed to the students’ sexual education, enabling healthy life styles and therefore, an increase in their quality of life, as one of the actions of the project: “The cultural approach in the fight against Sexually Transmitted Infections and HIV-AIDS in the formation of teachers”. This project is sponsored by UNESCO and carried out by the Pedagogic Faculty of Sancti Spíritus University José Martí Pérez.
