El presente artículo recoge los principales postulados de los más prestigiosos pedagogos cubanos y latinoamericanos de todos los tiempos, los que con sus ideas de avanzada y revolucionaria para la época aportaron a lo que es hoy la historia de la educación de este continente y, específicamente, la historia de la educación de esta Isla, aspecto que identifica el actual proceso educativo que se desarrolla en Cuba. Precisamente, se persigue como objetivo determinar cuáles fueron los postulados que fundamentan el tema de investigación relacionado con la historia de la educación en el territorio jatiboniquense. Se recogen aquellos educadores cubanos y latinoamericanos que crearon las bases pedagógicas y filosóficas de la educación y la ética que distingue el quehacer educacional de América Latina, así como las valoraciones que al respecto hicieron las autoras de este estudio. Se determinó que el desarrollo del pensamiento filosófico cubano estuvo indisolublemente unido al desarrollo del pensamiento filosófico latinoamericano y, que tanto en Cuba como en América Latina influyeron corrientes filosóficas universales como el positivismo, idealismo, evolucionismo, ilustración y empirismo; sin embargo, surge un pensamiento filosófico auténtico, el cual es hoy un legado para filósofos e investigadores que se han consagrado al estudio del tema relacionado con la historia de la educación en Cuba.
The article gathers the main postulates of the most noted Cuban and Latin Americans educators of all times. Those educators with their advanced and revolutionary ideas for the time contributed with the current history of the education of this continent and, specifically, the history of the education of this Island, aspect that identifies the current educational process that is developed in Cuba. The objective is to determine which were the postulates upon which the investigation topic, related with the education history in the Jatibonico´s territory, was based. Those Cuban and Latin Americans educators that created the pedagogic and philosophical bases of education and ethics that distinguishes the educational chore of Latin America are collected, as well as the opinions about this matter that the authors of this study gave. It was determined that the development of the philosophical Cuban thought was indissolubly together to the development of the philosophical Latin American thought. Besides, it was established that both in Cuba and in Latin America universal philosophical currents such as the positivism, idealism, evolutionism, illustration and empiricism influenced the philosophical Cuban thought. However, an authentic philosophical thought arises, which is today a legacy for philosophers and researchers that are consecrated to the study of the topic related with the education history in Cuba.
